Maybe not even the actual Joseph Mc Micking was able to imagine what would become at one stage the Sotogrande resort when, around 1964, he took a very wise vision, and built a luxury villa.

Mc Micking was delighted with the sights, with the breadth of the land, with magnificent beaches and, relying on his potential, decided to lay the foundation stone of what is now Sotogrande.

Before all this, Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans and Arabs marched through this dazzling land until the reconquest in the fifteenth century. It took more than five centuries for this fantastic location on the Costa del Sol to be transformed into one of the most exclusive destinations in Europe.
