There are several places where you can take beginners classes. El Real  Club Marítimo de Sotogrande , just 2 Minutes away from the hotel is an excellent option to learn the basics to go out and sail in Mediterranean waters. The Real Club Marítimo offers:

  • Weekly light sail courses. From Monday to Friday. On a Catamaran or Optimist
  • Sailing lessons fro Women. Duration 4 days (3 hours daily) Catamaran of 12 m
  • Teenager sailing course for beginners or advanced. Duration 4 days (3 hours daily)

In addition the Real Club also offers advanced courses for owners that take place on their own boats. This course has a maximum duration of 3 hours daily.  Theses courses consist of mooring manoeuvres, docking manoeuvres, navigation in bad weather, power locks, non-violent jibe and trim sail among others. The other school that offers a wide Varity of courses for beginners and advanced to perfectionate their techniques is the RYA Yachting Sotogrande , Classes for beginners to “Yachtmaster” are being offered here.
